Security Awareness

Course Aim

This course aims to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand and apply aviation security measures in accordance with international and national regulations. It highlights current threats to the aviation industry, introduces relevant organizations and standards, and demonstrates effective practices to safeguard passengers, baggage, cargo, and facilities. Participants will also gain awareness of emergency and bomb threat response procedures, enabling them to contribute effectively to a secure aviation environment.

Course Objectives

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

• Identify and describe current threats facing the aviation industry
• Recognize key aviation security regulations and the roles of international organizations
• Apply access control measures for people and vehicles within airport environments
• Explain and implement security procedures related to passengers, baggage, cargo, mail, and catering
• Demonstrate appropriate responses to security emergencies, including bomb threats, in line with established procedures
